POSITION: Food Runner

SUMMARY

Candidate provides assistance to the servers and restaurant supervisors at all times to exceed guest expectations.

POSITION: Host

SUMMARY

Candidate acts as a host/hostess for the restaurant by taking reservations, greeting guests and seating guests in a positive friendly manner.

POSITION: Housekeeper

SUMMARY: Candidate is responsible for all facility housekeeping duties as assigned. Candidate’s areas of responsibility include cleaning gaming machines & gaming rooms, rest rooms, lobby, entrance way, dining rooms & bars. Candidate will also wipe down machines, sweep, mop, & trash disposal. When walking through aisle ways, Candidate should make sure all vacant, nonfixed slot seating is appropriate tucked in as close the slot machine as possible and aisle way is maintained. Candidate will be responsible for all other duties as assigned by management.

POSITION: Table Games Dealer

SUMMARY: Responsible for providing a memorable experience for guests while protecting the assets and following the PA Gaming Control Board regulations, internal controls and standard operating procedures. This job title may also be identified as a Stickperson.

POSITION: Cashier/Player Services Rep

SUMMARY: Candidate handles all financial transactions including validating gaming vouchers and exchanging them for their cash value, exchanging gaming chips for their appropriate cash value and correctly documenting all counts.

POSITION: Security Officer

SUMMARY: Candidate is responsible for ensuring the safety and security of the patrons, employees, and all properties owned by Presque Isle Downs.

POSITION: Cook

SUMMARY: Candidate must have basic kitchen knowledge and understand basic culinary terms and have some mechanical skills. Candidate must have knowledge of the use of basic tools to include, but not limited to peelers, assorted knives, ovens, grills, and fryolators. Candidate must understand the basic sanitation skills and be able to sanitize, and store kitchen equipment, and utensils according to proper industry standards, within specified time lines. Candidate must have a working knowledge of necessary equipment and to alert their managers or Chef on duty of any equipment failures or needed maintenance immediately.

POSITION: Deli Attendant

SUMMARY: Candidate must possess excellent and accurate cash handling skills to include but not limited to cash, credit cards, vouchers, discounts and other programs as approved by management. Candidate must have basic kitchen knowledge and understand basic culinary terms and have some mechanical skills. Candidate must have knowledge of the use of basic tools to include, but not limited to peelers, assorted knives, ovens, grills, and fryolators. Candidate must understand the basic sanitation skills and be able to sanitize, and store kitchen equipment, and utensils according to proper industry standards, within specified time lines. Candidate must have a working knowledge of necessary equipment and to alert their Supervisors on duty of any equipment failures or needed maintenance immediately. Candidate is required to replenish Guest facing supplies (i.e. salt/pepper, ketchup, etc.), prepare/cook items to order and maintain and replenish display cases. Candidate must maintain a positive and polite demeanor in a fast paced friendly environment. Candidate is responsible for all other duties as assigned.

POSITION: Kitchen Steward

SUMMARY: Candidate must be able to clean, sanitize, and store kitchen equipment, glassware and utensils according to proper industry standards within specified time lines in safe and controlled manner. Candidate must have a basic knowledge of cleaning compounds and will be expected to perform the assorted cleaning and sanitation needs of all appropriate culinary areas. Candidate will be held accountable to have a working knowledge of necessary cleaning equipment and to alert their supervisor or Chef on duty of any equipment failures or needed maintenance immediately. Candidate will be expected to perform their duties in various working environments such as in deep freezers and around steam cleaning equipment. Candidate will use equipment that uses water, steam, and heat for safe maintaining of food contact surfaces. Candidate is responsible for all other duties as assigned.

POSITION: Barback

SUMMARY: Candidate is responsible for delivering and stocking bars with liquor, beer, wine, fruit, mixers, straws, napkins, ice, cleaning products all other products required in the day to day operation of the bar. Candidate will assist bartenders during breaks, may be assigned to a bar for a specific time frame during slower business days and also assist other departments when needed. Candidate is responsible for maintaining a clean, safe and organized work area by removing trash, cleaning mats, bar tops, fixtures and other general duties as assigned. Candidate must be able to communicate verbally in a professional manner with internal guests, external guests and management. Candidate must keep accurate records of inventory transfers and all other departmental procedures. Candidate is responsible for all other duties as assigned. Candidate must be able to maintain a neatly groomed and professional personal appearance while working in a fun fast paced physically demanding position. Barbacks may be dual rated as bartenders. Other duties may be assigned.

POSITION: Bartender

SUMMARY: Candidate is responsible for precise, safe, proper mixing, controlling, dispensing, preparing and serving of a variety of beverages, liquors, beers and fine wines in a fast paced entertaining environment. Candidate must understand that this job requires the ability to verbally communicate, explain and sell all types of beverages to bar patrons, beverage servers and other staff by exceeding and anticipating guests’ expectations. Candidate must maintain accurate records for cashiering and inventory as designated by management. Candidate will maintain the cleanliness of coolers, bar equipment, glassware, decanters and any other service items associated with beverage service and health code requirements. Bartenders may be dual-rated as barbacks. Bartenders may be asked to take food orders and deliver food orders to guests, utilizing the pivot method when serving tables. Bartenders may be asked to bus tables, clean up and complete other assigned tasks. Other duties may be assigned.

POSITION: Beverage Server

SUMMARY: Candidate is responsible for ordering, delivering and serving food & beverage items to the patrons throughout the casino. On occasion, candidate will assist bartenders with the preparation of beverages. Candidate will be responsible for all other duties as assigned. Server will be required to purchase drinks in advance to sell to customers there by insuring accuracy and consistency with the handling of revenues and products. Servers are responsible for providing accurate service, professional appearance and a friendly attitude towards guests and fellow team members. Servers must practice safe food & beverage handling techniques as demonstrated and required by management. Other duties may be assigned.

POSITION: Drop Team

Candidate will be responsible for the drop and count of slot machines.  Candidate will be responsible for drop and count of table games.
